Scope
For overhead and gantry cranes (29 CFR 1910.179) and slings (29 CFR 1910.184) in general industry. It does not cover mobile cranes such as crawler, locomotive and truck cranes (29 CFR 1910.180), or cranes and derricks in construction (29 CFR 1926 Subpart CC).
This log helps with OSHA 1910.179 / 1910.184 inspection records. It is a template to help you organize and record inspections; it does not replace the full text of the rules, the equipment and sling manufacturer's instructions, or the judgment of your qualified, appointed or competent person.
